We're Glad You're Here
Bryant Street Baptist Church is a place where everyone is welcome. We are not perfect, in fact we are far from it. Everyone here is broken, has struggles with sin, and feels inadequate from time to time. We know we don't have it all together and that is why we are so thankful for the Grace of God. Through Jesus we are being made new, experiencing victory over sin, and being put back together. If you know you need help come join us as we help one another to follow Jesus.
Below you will find everything you need to know before visiting us. Be sure to let us know you are coming and we will have someone meet you at the entrance to show you around and help you get connected (form below).

What To Expect
How long is the service?
A typical service will last about an hour and 15 minutes
How should I dress?
We want you to come as your are. If you are comfortable in a suit wear a suit, if you are comfortable in shorts and a T-Shirt wear that. Pastor Mike usually wears Jeans and a button up, he try's to dress somewhere in the middle of casual and formal, this way no one will feel too over or under dressed.
What should I bring?
If you have a Bible we encourage you to bring it, phones and tablets are ok too (even though pastor Mike recommends using a paper Bible). We teach from the ESV, but any good translation is just fine. If you do not have a Bible, or you forget it at home, there are Bibles in the Worship center that you can use to follow along.
What happens during the service?
This is a typical Order of Service

Announcements: Before we begin our time of worship, we take time to let everyone know what is going to be happening in the upcoming weeks.
Singing: Singing is an important aspect of the Christian life. The Bible commands us over and over to sing, and for good reason. When we sing, we glorify and worship God, we are helped to memorize what we believe, we encourage one another, and we build unity in the church. At Bryant Street, although we strive to make beautiful music unto the Lord, our singing time is not a concert, it is an activity that the whole church participates in. You can participate in singing as well, we project the lyrics on screens and sing Biblically based songs from Hymns to modern worship.
Prayer: Each week we set aside a portion of the service to engage with God in prayer. We pray to God, and for each other. Prayer is our way of communicating our thankfulness to and reliance on God. We also believe that God acts on our prayers and prayer is the primary means by which He get things done.
Teaching: A large portion of the service is dedicated to studying the Scriptures. We believe it is impossible to worship a God that we do not know. The Bible is God's revelation of Himself to us, and understanding it is essential if we want to have a right understanding of who God is. The Bible is God's primary means of communicating with us, and we believe it is sufficient for all of life and godliness.
Giving: God is the giver of life and all good things come from Him. Giving financially to the church helps in three ways. First, giving a portion of our income helps us to trust less in our money and more in God. Second, as those made in God's image, it helps us to reflect the generous nature of God. Third, it supports the mission of the church as we work together to build the Kingdom of God. If you are a guest with us there is no pressure to give; giving is for those who consider Bryant Street their home church, or those who desire to support our mission.
Fellowship: Being in community with others is an important aspect of living the Christian life. We try to create time and space for people to connect with one another, pray for one another, and share life together before and after our gatherings. Join us in the community room for free coffee and refreshments.

What is available for children?
Bryant Street Kids is available for kids birth-5th grade. At Bryant Street we encourage families to worship together and kids are always welcome to stay with their parents in the service. For those who would like their kids to experience a more age targeted teaching time, we offer Bryant Street Kids where kids can enjoy a Bible lesson from the Gospel Project Curriculum, a snack, often a craft, and time with encouraging adults. All of our Bryant Street Kids workers are background checked and cleared to work with children.
Birth-3rd graders will get signed in at the beginning of the service and stay in children's church throughout the service.
4th and 5th graders will get signed in at the beginning of the service but join the adults for some singing and a time of prayer. They will be released to their classes after the offering of Prayer.
